Get Involved

      Research depends on ordinary people getting involved. You may be a patient, a carer or simply someone with an interest in helping to improve the health of the nation. Whatever your reason, your involvement can help to improve the quality of research, can enhance the results and can, ultimately, lead to better treatments for patients.

      There are many opportunities to get involved in the kind of research that we do. It does not mean that we will carry out tests on you or put your health in danger. First and foremost, we want you to find out about the projects we’re working on, make suggestions and offer opinions. With your help, we can listen, learn and further improve what we do.

      You don’t need any special skills. If you have a general interest in health and research – or perhaps a particular interest in one of our project areas – we would be delighted to talk to you further. We can provide any training you need and answer any questions you may have.
